@maffbellany @playbeteeenthesherts did you see my last post of this? I know you’ve seen this post, but not sure you’ve seen the clip. If not, YouTube “the cure trilogy outtakes.”
It’s short but very sweet! Simon’s an angel!!
Yeah I’ve seen all the interview in my Trilogy dvd. But first of all I saw it on Youtube :) Indeed, he’s an angel ♥ thanks dani1014texas!!
Just can’t beat a bit of ‘Smiley Simon’ ….. if you haven’t seen it, the full length interview from the DVD is really good and worth a watch.
mass unemployment, the Brixton riots, the miners and teacher’s strikes, Maggie in power, the assumption that every teenage girl loved Du’rone Du’rone etc etc …. yer they were great if you didn’t live through it. Thank gawd we had The Cure, The Damned, et al to put a smile on our ridiculously over made-up faces!
Less hair, less eyeliner, but not much else has changed…

This picture perfectly expresses my feelings for the blinkin’ idiots I’ve had to deal with today…

This. This really inspired me to want to be a dance.
Rooster by Christopher Bruce. (The video is just one section of the piece - set to songs by The Rolling Stones - and this particular song is Ruby Tuesday)
I remember going to watch Rambert Dance Company perform and I was mesmerised by the dancing, the dancers, the music and the choreography. It was at the time when they were doing a lot of Christopher Bruce’s choreography and I remember watching Ghost Dances, Moonshine, Swansong and Rooster.
All four pieces are iconic in dance history and opened my eyes to something more than Classical Ballet. I have a particular fondness for Moonshine but I couldn’t find any photos or video of it, but if I could dance any of them it would most definitely be Rooster.
Basically, I thank Rambert, Christopher Bruce and the dancers for kick-starting my career.
